Friendly and welcoming. Clean and tidy room with fridge. Meals very tasty and reasonably priced
My rating is for the lunch we had which was excellent fresh food served piping hot. Two meals for £10 and sweets £5 for two and plenty of choice on the menu in pleasant surroundings and staff.Update: Visited several times and always everything to a high standard.
Had a great meal at the Waverly. Decent choice of good quality bar meals. Would highly recommend a visit. The staff were brilliant and good with the kids.

I always enjoy a meal here, it's simple good food at good prices, it's not fine dining but you get a fine meal. Staff are lovely and there is plenty choice on the menu, with specials each day and portions are good. I do wish they had more vegetarian maim choices but still good.
Never had a bad experience here. Good value for food and good menu. Not too complicated and the kids meals are always spot on. Very good for lunch and supper. Staff are brilliant and service is fast. I would recommend booking at weekends to avoid disappointment.
Have never stayed in the hotel but have used the restaurant many times. They do two parts to the main menu. Starters 2 for £5, mains 2 for £10 from a small selection then they have the extended menu prices ranging from £6.95- £7.95. 2 x sweets for £5. Drinks are usual hotel prices. Last time we were in I had the chicken Maryland, hubby had the salad which really plentiful. Would highly recommend.
Went for a celebratory meal for my husband's birthday. We are both tea total so the food is the main draw for us and the food was lovely. The service was faultless, nice bunch of girls waitressing there, polite, well dressed and friendly. The decor was warm and inviting and well maintained. Could not fault the Waverley Hotel. We are thinking about booking our Christmas dinner there this year.
